Baptist Student Ministries
What We DoCollege students require several different approaches in reaching them for Christ and involving them in living their faith. One approach that has proven effective over many years is the BSM.
Bible studies, worship experiences, conferences, fellowship, and various services projects are all a part of the work of the BSM. One of the most familiar activities of the BSM approach is the on-campus lunch served once a week by a Network church and furnished as a free lunch for the students and staff. One of the lesser known ministries of the BSM is the direct involvement of students in mission work. Each summer a large group of students from all over the state of Texas are selected to serve both home and overseas missions for the entire summer. Also, in the past we have had groups of students who would go on some kind of mission project during the spring break. Students and churches alike are the support of all of these efforts. |
